Gideon Botha
Managing Director
Gideon Botha is our Managing Director and a 20-year veteran of the logistics industry. With a strong entrepreneurial spirit, Gideon has built up his team to echo his “making the impossible possible” ethos. He relishes the challenge of finding creative solutions to move cargo around the world every day and drives the SO Logistics team to always keep clients’ interests at the top of the agenda. Like everyone else in the team, Gideon is hands-on and in daily contact with our clients to ensure they get the personal service the company prides itself on.
When not at work, Gideon enjoys woodworking but, with two young daughters in the house, quiet moments are rare, so being a playful Dad usually takes precedent in his downtime.

Klaas Mondlane
Air and Ocean Imports
Klaas Mondlane handles both Air and Ocean Imports for our clients and has a strong analytical mind when it comes to solving problems. Klaas is a real team player and is one of those rare individuals that enjoys “going the extra mile”. His love for logistics stems from the rewarding team environment and the daily opportunities to learn more about international business. He also loves the balance at SO Logistics between personalised customer service and using cutting edge technology to enable every step of the transportation process.
When he does put his feet up to relax, Klaas enjoys catching up with the news and watching a good movie, and one day hopes to take his ideal holiday around the world to go scuba diving.

Naomi Joubert
Senior Imports Controller
Naomi Joubert is a Senior Imports Controller and brings 24 years’ logistics experience to our team. If you need to know anything about importing via Ocean freight, Naomi is the person to reach out to. She enjoys the close working relationships and hands-on approach that SO Logistics adopts with each of its clients, and she is known for her laser focus when it comes to achieving results.
When she is not helping our clients, you can find Naomi spending time with her hubby and training her dogs to do new tricks.

Simon Dewar
Logistics Manager
Simon Dewar is our Logistics Manager and can be considered the “Captain America” of Managers. With 20 years’ experience under his belt, Simon is not one to shy away from a challenge. He loves that every day presents something new, and he thrives on jumping into the deep end and getting his hands dirty. SO Logistics’ small size gives us a flexibility seldom found in the logistics industry, and Simon enjoys brainstorming with his team and negotiating with multiple suppliers to find the most innovative and cost-effective solutions for our clients.
Given the chance to tick something off his bucket list, Simon would happily give up his usual spot in the gym to visit New York with his wife.

Kirsty Reed is our Logistics Controller who specialises in rates and estimates. More than just a number cruncher, our clients rely on her to show them how to get the most out of our system functionality. Kirsty never has a boring day at work and gets great satisfaction from going above and beyond for our clients. She believes the unique family-type working environment at SO Logistics brings out the best in her.
Kirsty balances her logistics career - spanning almost 10 years now - with being a mom to her 4-yr old daughter and a little-known fact is that she has her Gauteng colours for swimming.
